Description

DARRELL GLENN
1956 rockabilly 45

If you know Darrell Glenn, it’s probably from his 1953 recording of “Crying In The Chapel” which was written by his father, Artie Glenn.  At the time, Darrell was recording for Valley Records out of Knoxville, Tennessee, but it wasn’t long before he got picked up by another Tennessee label with larger distribution, Dot Records.

This single finds him in the summer of 1956.  The song “Your Little Red Wagon” is about a ka-jillion miles away from that hit ballad. Its got a great banging piano on it too and was compiled onto the CD ‘Rock & Roll Party” on Leslie records. You might think you know about Darrell Glenn, but this will change your mind.

This is flipped with “Send This Wanderer Home.”
