DARRYL WAY`S WOLF Canis Lupus (Deram SDL 14) Curved Air RARE UK 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE original first UK pressing of "Canis Lupus" by Darryl Way`s Wolf, released on Deram Records (June 1973).
The first solo outing by Curved Air violinist extraordinaire Darryl Way, "Canis Lupus" didn`t only burst with musical talent, as evidenced by the excellent musicians Way had assembled, it also showed Darryl Way to be a highly talented composer in his own right.
GRADING:
EX++ to MINT- COVER, overall very fine, but for a slight bit of ring wear - on the back cover only! Very sharp edges and opening, as well as an impeccable spine. Please see photos for details.
MINT- RECORD with a few light hairlines from sleeve removal. This type of hairlining is typical of original Deram inner sleeves, speaking of which, this custom-printed inner (date-stamped "7-73") is included and in superb MINT(-) condition.
The matrix stamps in the dead wax read "ZAL 12218P-1" and "ZAL 12219P-1", respectively. Rest assured therefore that this specific copy is an original very first UK pressing!
PLEASE NOTE: Over the next few months, we will regularly be offering a number of rarities, mainly progressive and avantgarde records: A very discerning, long-time collector friend left us his treasure chest! Not only are many of these lps extremely rare, they are almost all in MINT(-) condition - both inside and out.
As we slowly inch our way closer to spring, we will be spreading the goodies out, in no special order. Suffice to say that the best is still to come!
