Description

DARY JOHN MIZELLE : New Percussion Music LP (Lumina [USA] L-002) 1981.

Record is Near Mint (our highest grade for an opened record). Cover is excellent with one bent corner (lower right).

Nice original copy of one of two vinyl LPs by American avant garde composer Dary John Mizelle (the other was on Irida, also 1981; we're not sure which was first). Soundscape is a six part composition for percussion, each part using a different substance: metal, skin, wood, earth, glass, and all of the above. Polytempus II is for marimba and computer-generated tape.
