DAVE BURNS – WARMING UP! – VANGUARD 9143 – M-/M- - DG – MONO

This is one of only three Dave Burns sessions of his own and was recorded on August of 1963, featuring Dave Burns on trumpet, Al Grey on trombone, Billy Mitchell on tenor, Bobby Hutcherson on vibes, Harold Mabern on piano, Herman Wright on bass and Otis “Candy” Finch on drums. SIDE A: DAY BY DAY; NOW IT AIN’T; I CAN’T GIVE YOU ANYTHING BUT LOVE and RICHIE’S DILEMMA. SIDE B: SLIPPERS; WARM UP; MY ROMANCE and RIGOR MORTEZ. This is a deep groove pressing and a MONO recording.

I have graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole and the vinyl still retains its original luster. The record jacket is in near mint condition, with no sign of wear. It appears as it did when bought. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
