THIS IS A SUPERB FIRST PRESSING (MATRICES A1-U AND B1-U) OF THE ORIGINAL ISSUE OF DAVE EVANS STEREO LP “THE WORDS IN BETWEEN” ON THE UK VILLAGE THING LABEL AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN MINT CONDITION! THE COVER IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE AND TYPE!! DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is VTS 6 on the ORIGINAL VILLAGE THING label (see picture) and is a stereo UK first pressing.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks that I can see! There is a slight manufacturing defect at the top of the label on side B (see picture). I BOUGHT THIS RECORD SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS HARDLY BEEN PLAYED AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The cover is in VERY GOOD condition for its age and type (see pictures) but Village Thing covers were not the sturdiest in the world.
It has VERY LITTLE wear to the spine. The open edges show only the VERY SLIIGHTEST signs of use.
VERY LITTLE of the surface of the front cover has rubbed away over the years, apart from some SIGNIFICANT ringwear (see pictures) where the cover looks grubby. There are 2 VERY light 0.5cm horizontal creases to the right of the spine caused by the cover originally being displayed in a shop record rack. There are 6 LIGHT surface indentations to the left and right of Dave’s head. There is seamwear to the bottom edge of the cover. There is a LIGHT 4cm diagonal crease starting 9cm to the left of the bottom right corner of the front cover.
The back of the cover has the SIGNIFICANT ringwear and dirtiness of the front cover (see picture) and a 1.5cm VERY LIGHT vertical thumb crease.
THIS VINYL LP IS MASSIVELY RARE TO FIND IN THIS MINT CONDITION. DONT MISS OUT!
For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
