Description
This is a brand new, UNOPENED Sheffield Lab “Treasury” special audiophile record that was produced from the live stereo tape recorded during the original direct disk session of Dave Grusin. I have quite a few Sheffield Lab direct-to-disks, and I’ll tell you, if I didn’t know this was an analogue tape of the direct-to-disk session, I would never have known it. I purchased this album new as a backup in case my original copy ever got damaged. Since my original still plays beautifully, I'm putting this SEALED LP up for sale. The wear that you see in the photos is only on the plastic wrap, not the cover itself. This is the way it was when I bought it in 1986. It has always been stored vertically with all my other SEALED audiophile albums so it has basically never been taken out of my collection. This is an absolutely stunning performance with a sound quality which is truly unbelievable. Dave Grusin is the best, and how can you go wrong when he is working with Ron Carter, Lee Ritenour and Harvey Mason. You will feel like you are sitting in the Blue Note Cafe in NYC, or your favorite jazz club. This is just one of a number of SEALED Sheffield Lab direct-to-disks that I will be putting up for auction -- keep a look out!
