Description
- Dave Mason released his double disc "Certified Live" in November 1976 on Columbia Records. It was recorded live by Wally Heider's mobile recording truck on July 26, 1976 at the Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. The 14 tracks include most of Mason's major hits and was recorded absolutely live with no overdubs.
- This copy (PG34174) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. The gatefold cover still has its original factory shrink wrap and is easily VG+ as are both of the inner color picture sleeves of the four other band members. Please see the pictures. Both discs test play cleanly and are also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Doug Sax at The Mastering Lab in Hollywood and pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Terre Haute, Indiana. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched PAL 34175 1B and stamped TML-S.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 45 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
