The history of UK Hunky Dory pressings is quite complex.

The 1st Pressing has a front-laminated cover(the major criterion to determine the very early pressings), no MainMan credits on the label, no "A GEM PRODUCTION" text and logo in the top right corner of the cover back, a glossy label and the words "Bobil" & "Rasputin" pressed into the matrix.

The 2nd Pressing has a front-laminated cover too, no MainMan credits on the label, "A GEM PRODUCTION" text and logo in the top right corner of the cover back, a glossy label and the words "Bobil" & "Rasputin" pressed into the matrix.

The 3rd Pressing has an unlaminated cover, no MainMan credits on the label, "A GEM PRODUCTION" text and logo in the top right corner of the cover back, a glossy label and the words "Bobil" & "Rasputin" pressed into the matrix.

The 4th Pressing has an unlaminated cover, MainMan credits on the label, "A GEM PRODUCTION" text and logo in the top right corner of the cover back, a matt label and no "Bobil" & "Rasputin" in the matrix.

BASED ON THE ABOVE THIS IS A 3RD PRESSING

CONDITION

UNLAMINATED SLEEVE
EXCELLENT ++
Just small amount of storage wear and ringwear and a few small scuffs.
LYRIC INSERT
EXCELLENT ++
Few small wrinkles and a couple of small marks
ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE
Excellent ++
RECORD
EXCELLENT
Visually this looks like a MINT- record but on play testing there is the odd click and crackle here and there so hence have downgraded.

All my records are stored upright with the records removed from their original inner sleeve and put into a new white sleeve which is then put into a stiff white protective card sleeve, this saves wear on the original inner record sleeve and prevents ringwear. The record cover is then carefully put into a heavyweight plastic sleeve. This is how they will be delivered to you and will be sent in strong and secure packaging to ensure they arrive with you in the same condition as they leave me.
