Description
First the bad news: record has a very noticeable warp. Don´t know what caused this. Either bad storage or close to a heat source. I took pictures trying to expose the problem. Anyway, there are also some good news: surprisingly and fortunately warp doesn´t affect play at all. I play tested the record in my Technics turntable with cueing in the middle and everything went right. Sounds very good and no skips at all. And I must add that vinyl surface is close to pristine condition. Without the warp it should be an EX close to NM condition. There is one negligible, small light scuff mark, approx. 1.5 cm, on the A-side, caused by storage. Really hardly noticeable.
Now let´get straight to the facts:
Top Rare promotional-ONLY single featuring two A-sides from the Scary Monster album. There are not many counterparts of this rarity around the planet (except for Bolivia and Japan, which have the same track listing)! But this 7-inch release from Argentina (South America) is even rarer because it contains the longer album versions, and not the original UK 45 single edit. That is: Fashion 4:48 (UK single 3:23), and Ashes To Ashes 4:24 (UK single 3:35).
As usual in this part of the world, the titles are translated into spanish. Certainly, this is one of the three (3) rarest and most interesting 45 releases from the Scary Monster album worldwide. -------------------------------------------------------------------
