DAVID BOWIE Aladdin Sane LP 1st UK Press MINT AUDIO!!
This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system. I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks
Details:- From my own personal collection - David Bowie - Aladdin Sane. 1973 1st UK press in the original non-laminated gatefold sleeve and inner lyrics sleeve. Released on the original orange RCA label, catalogue no. RCA Victor ?– RS 1001. The matrix numbers denote this as an original 1st UK pressing - (Side A, Runout, Stamped): CPRY 4543-3T, (Side B, Runout, Stamped): CPRY 4544-3T
Vinyl Condition:- Visually EX, sounds MINT. Gleaming vinyl with a few light surface marks visible when the record is viewed at an angle under very bright light. These are totally silent and the sound quality of the album is outstanding. This record has been fully test played before this auction
Sleeve Condition:- NEAR MINT. Great condition and so rare to find this mainly white sleeve in such clean and unmarked shape. No serious wear or issues. Looks almost as good as new and is about the best example I have seen. The inner sleeve is equally as good. The gatefold's wide spine is razor sharp and crisp and inside the gatefold is equally clean and unmarked.
Label Condition:- NEAR MINT. No signs of wear and no spindle marks. All there is to note is a small area of blistering on one side. This is merely a common manufacturing fault and not related to condition.

If a record has been played, even if the condition of the record and sleeve is perfect.
Record Collectors Grading system
Mint (M)
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX)
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG)
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G)
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Fair (F)
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P)
The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing
Bad (B)
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
CD’s and CASSETTES
As a general rule CD’s and Cassettes either play perfectly – in which case they are in Mint condition – or they don’t, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD’s are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves.
