Description

You are bidding on a vinyl copy of Bowie’s “Aladdin Sane”, featuring Mike Garson's piano playing and hits including "Time", "The Jean Genie" and "Drive-In Saturday".

This gatefold LP comes complete with the fan club insert that only came with the earliest copies. They are also quite rare because lots of fans wrote on them and applied to join Bowie's fan club. It is now rare to find an unmarked copy.

The matrix number is CPRY 4543 3T and CPRY 4544 3T, making it a first pressing. 

Early pressings have another feature: the city where each song was written (see photos) on the orange RCA label. Eg “Time” (New Orleans). 

Later copies just had the song title. 

Inner sleeve also included with the lyrics and Ziggy flash. 

The labels are unmarked. 

No writing on the cover, sleeves or insert. 

The album cover is a little off-white having aged a little over the years with a little edge wear.  The fan insert is clean and unused.  The inner record sleeve has one 2” split on one side but is otherwise in good condition. 

The record is in very good condition.  I can see no marks or scratches.

This is a very collectable Bowie item, sure to rise in collectability.
