Description

Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the David Bowie album Diamond Dogs, originally released in the U.S. on RCA/Victor (CPL1-0576) in 1974:
-Guaranteed original 1st pressing, not reissue -Original and correct orange RCA "dynaflex" labels -Original gatefold cover
-STERLING mastering stamp in deadwax -Promo factory punch hole in cover
-NOT record club pressing -NO UPC/bar code on cover
-Vinyl comes in poly audiophile protective inner sleeve
Note:
Original U.S. pressings of Diamond Dogs have the CPL1-0576 catalog number and the STERLING mastering stamp--most copies sold as "original" on ebay do not have these attributes--they are reissues.

Condition: Cover looks nice, with light signs of wear or handling.  Light rubbing top and bottom middle.  Back is nice, light rubbing.  Corners are sharp, not bumped, light rubbing.  Seams are nice, intact, no splits, rubbing wear.  Interior is nice but shows some light moisture damage (see photo).  Factory promo punch hole in upper right.  Still an attractive, colorful original cover. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl looks very nice, still has its original glossy shine.  Both sides look very clean--under a strong light, shows some faint superficial signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times.  Very nice sound quality for an original pressing!  No marks around spindle holes.  Looks like this record has maybe been played only once or twice previously but handled with care. Grade: Excellent (EX)
