Description
This is a really unusual item! It is a new, unplayed SPANISH-USA PROMOTIONAL-ONLY 12 inch single by David Bowie. It contains the following 5 versions of the song Fame 90:
1 - Queen Latifah's rap version 2 - Bonus-beats instrumental 3 - Acapulco rap 4 - House mix 5 - Hip-hop mix
The words NOT FOR SALE are printed on the record labels on both sides, and it has a special Promo catalog number SPRO-04547.
The Spanish input is in the special Promo-only insert sheet, designed to serve as a back cover, which contains the titles and Spanish tour dates in Madrid and Barcelona (see photo 2). I assume the record was imported direct from the USA rather than pressing it especially in Spain, and then a pair of special Promo inserts (front and back) were created for it in Spain.
Promotional records are very rare as they were only ever made in very small quantities and issued to selected print media and radio stations for review purposes and never sold to the public. This record has never been played, and is Mint condition.
