Description
This First Australian release of David Bowie's "Heroes" is the most unique in existence of all of the David Bowie albums, I very much doubt you will have come across another by David Bowie or of another artists for that matter.
WHY???
Quite often you can find albums or singles where the album has the wrong label on the vinyl, or the labels are the on different sides, there are even vinyl with other artists labels on the wrong vinyl, you can even get the odd album where an artist has been stamped on the B or A side of your favorite artist.
BUT
Have you ever come across anywhere an album that has side 2 or the album STAMPED on both sides of the album. Yes you get side 2 of this album on side one and side 2, even though the the correct labels sides one and 2 are correct on this album.
It would be virtually impossible to make this mistake and even more so for the album to get out into the wild. in over 30 years of collecting David Bowie I have never came across another copy with one side stamped to both sides ever in all his albums.
check this out to see how stamping an album is done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPreRQbRWcc
To make the mistake of pressing one side onto both sides of the vinyl, the stamper would have had to have 2 identical stampers placed on the machine, due to quality control if this mistake was made it would have been identified almost immediately and the whole batch would have been recalled and then scrapped, except for this beauty once in a life time rare piece of David Bowie historical music.
feel confident in bidding for this rare vinyl album.
The story goes, a young girl received this album for her 21st Birthday, played it once and when whe realised that there was no side one, the album was never played again and was wrapped up and put away. when I received it I also have only played this rare item once.
