* DAVID BOWIE - HUNKY DORY - 1st Press 1971

Superb copy of Hunky Dory

Genuine 1971 First Pressing from The USA on RCA Dynaflex

This is The Rockaway pressing plant first press from the UK Master Tape, confirmed by the hand etched matrix numbers on the run out grooves, see picture.

The album cover is a beauty, Hunky Dory covers do not wear well, but this one is very very good.

The card is still strong and sturdy, not flimsy and flat. The album spine is full legible but has got a little flattened, still totally intact

The sleeve corners are very good with just a little rubbing at the seams but at 50 years old it's in fantastic condition and way better than the usual on offer, I should know as I've seen plenty of them

The rear of the cover is super clean with no marks or writing..again hard to find on a Hunky Dory cover

Being an American copy of Hunky Dory it has the lyric inner sleeve instead of the single insert. The sleeve is in super condition, totally intact with no writing or grubby marks.

The Vinyl record is in fantastic, near Mint condition and more importantly it plays really well, no skips or sticking..in fact it's hardly got any surface noise or crackle, for a 50 year old record it's quite remarkable, but the Dynaflex vinyl was known for being quite as far as static and surface noise went. Also being a Dynaflex copy it does have a very slight wobble as it rotates,which has no effect on the playback, as I said it plays and sounds magic

Nice and clean with a great gloss, looks stunning actually

As you can see from the pics the labels are again in fantastic condition.

This record has been carefully looked after all it's life, it would be a great addition to any collection

Sorry for the long winded description but I wouldn't buy a record from ebay that had a few lines in it's description. It seems to work for some but it's not for me.

I always give my honest opinion on any record I sell, I KNOW my descriptions are more accurate that most on here, the reason being I've bought some real stinkers off here in the past..

Any questions please ask

Record will be sent by Royal Mail signed for

In a proper sturdy record mailer

Cheers
