Description
This is the rare UK original 1st pressing of David Bowie's classic 'Hunky Dory'' on the orange RCA label from 1971. This is very rare version without Mainman credits on the label or cover and front lamination. The cover is in lovely EXCELLENT condition, shiny laminate with just a few small laminate creases near the spine which have caused small splits in the laminate on the spine itself. The labels are clean and the vinyl (with 3T matrix no's) beautifully glossy, just a few light hairlines visible only under very bright light. The playback sadly has some distortion on Side 1 with Life on Mars particularly affected, Side 2 plays perfectly throughout. Perhaps a pressing fault is what affects Side 1 or it was played with a damaged needle, graded EXCELLENT overall. Comes with its original lyric inner in fine shape.
I have been a collector for any years and a now selling most of my vinyl to fund a change of career. All records are thoroughly cleaned on my ClearAudio Smart Matrix machine and then carefully played on a Rega Planar 3 deck with Goldring cartridge. I use strict RC gradings with plus and minus to indicate variation and all records are sent out in professional mailers. I offer a full refund minus return postage should you not be satisfied with how I've graded a record.
