This UK 1st press is on the plain bright orange RCA label. It is complete with the very earliest and exceptionally rare PL 12522 A-1 / B-5E matrix, the lyric insert, the original RCA company inner sleeve and rare fully laminated sleeve. Released in 1977, this is the first copy we have ever seen with an A1 matrix. Until now we have never seen or read of any other than the A3/B5 1st press.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. There is a sensational jet black gloss, every track gleams. There is just one very light mark on Side 2, otherwise the vinyl is superb. The label is also superb, the orange is exceptionally bold and the text is immaculate. There is no spindle wear, just a couple of the faintest spider marks. It is complete with the original RCA inner sleeve also in Excellent condition.
The scarce lyric insert is in Excellent condition. The black is bold and the white text is sharp, there is just very light edge wear.

The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and vibrant. There is excellent clarity and audio separation. There are moments of very slight noise but these are just static or dust as there is no wear to the grooves or significant markings at all. It is a pleasure from start to finish, the sound is superb.


The rare laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. This sleeve is pretty lightweight and delicate and shows wear very easily but we are pleased to say it is in great condition. The laminate has a wonderful mirrored finish and is extremely clean and bright. The image is unworn and the text is sharp. There is just the slightest opening edge and corner wear. The colour is bold and the back of the sleeve is equally superb. The whole sleeve solid and the spine is very firm with clear text.
