Description
Up for auction is a copy of Hunky Dory by David Bowie, released in 1971 on RCA Victor, cat no SF 8244. This copy is a first pressing album in an early edition cover. The vinyl has Bobil & Rasputin etched in the run-out grooves, and a Gem but no “Mainman” credit on the rear of the cover. Labels are glossy. Vinyl is heavy.
Condition: vinyl has a few minor marks which cause occasional clicking, but nothing serious (no jumps, sticks or distortion). Still sounds great. Cover has a little ring wear & edge wear, but again nothing serious (no tears, creases, writing, damage etc.). Easily VG/VG+ (vinyl/cover). No insert, I’m afraid, though I could probably fashion a photocopy for the lucky winner.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
