Description
I bought this new at the age of 6 (1977) after hearing "Changes". The album is weird for a six-year-old so that song got played a few times, the end. Around the time of "Let's Dance" it may have seen a few more spins but not many. By the time I committed full-on to Bowie, the Ryko Clear Vinyl versions were out and so I bought those. In short, this vinyl has MAYBE been play a dozen times. Maybe. With the last being just now prior to this listing.
The vinyl looks and sounds fantastic! There is some VERY slight noise as "Oh, you pretty things" transitions into "Eight Line Poem" but maybe a VPI cleaning would fix that. Otherwise, this plays through flawlessly on my turntable. There is a visible scuff on the second side (pictured) that has no feel to the touch and produces no sound disturbances.
The cover seam has come apart at the top half over the years (pictured) as the paper is just wrapped around two cardboard squares....typical cheap 70's RCA. It's the original textured paper with ORANGE labels. You can see the orange labels through the inner sleeve photos, the labels look lighter in their photos due to the very bright light. There are some slight blemishes here&there on the cover so zoom in on the very clear photos to check thoroughly. If you need more, please ask!
The inner sleeve has some slight crinkles as most get during factory inserting and some slight ring impression but NO seam splits!
I've just committed to the Five Years box so this can now have a new loving home!
This will ship insured and there are ZERO returns unless it arrives to you markedly different than described and/or clearly damaged. In this unlikely event, pictures must be taken and a very speedy proactive claim towards the USPS filed ESPECIALLY if there are signs of damage to the box upon arrival at which point, take photos before opening.
Winning bidder to pay bid amount within FIVE days of auction close via PayPal. Shipping is FREE within the US!!
****INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICIES****
International shipping to be determined AFTER sale varying upon destination. DO NOT use ebay's automated postal calculator as it is ALWAYS wrong.
#1 - Due to the amount of international buyers who claim they never get anything because ebay will simply cover/refund their money without question, this item will ONLY ship via Priority/Registered. Yes, it's very expensive.
#2 - Your customs form and item value WILL NOT be falsified by me. If you pay $75, it's value is $75. Stating otherwise IS illegal
In short....I am IN NO WAY responsible for ANY issues regarding customs including but not limited to delays, damages, and charges.
