Hi, I am Mike, now 49 and have been a music collector and enthusiast for over 34 years now. We all wish we could turn back the clock and buy those wonderful brand new records from the 60s and 70s, but alas, this is not possible; so I always try to offer the finest and most accurately described and graded items I can find. Not a record this time, but a superb and scarce David Bowie programme from the classic ‘Ziggy’ period. A fantastic item for any fan of this iconic artist when at the peak of his creativity and powers – his classic glam-rock era. Hope you like – Mike.
Item on Offer: ‘The David Bowie Tour 1973 Programme’Format: Eight colour pages including covers, twin stapled. Printed on high quality, thick, heavyweight, glossy paper.
Condition & Details: EX+ Bowie’s tour with The Spiders From Mars clearly promoting the Aladdin Sane RCA 1973 Album. A lovely item with minimal handling traces or blemishes. Any ‘grubbiness’ is minimal and any light traces are mainly on the outside back cover – emphasise very light indeed. No major or real creasing and both original staples are solid, unloosened, unpulled or stressed in any way. All the inner pages are very clean indeed and the surfaces still retain a fine shine. All edges are very sharp and unburred with no feathering. Page 7 has the David Bowie official fan club form which is totally unfilled – there is no writing or IDing on this programme at all. This is a wonderful vintage piece for any Bowie fan and it would be a fantastic compliment to include with the actual vinyl album that still included the original fan club insert. I would imagine this programme would be quite rare these days and being quite thin, finding a much better example could prove difficult too.
