Description
Up for auction is a copy of The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars, by David Bowie, released in 1972 on RCA Victor cat no SF 8287, a UK pressing. This is the first pressing of the first edition, with no Mainman credit on the cover or labels, and 1E matrix numbers on both sides of the vinyl. This copy also includes the original inner sleeve.
Condition: vinyl has a number of minor surface marks on each side, but still sounds generally fine: a few clicks & pops, but no jumps or sticks. Cover has some ring & seam wear but no writing, tears or serious damage. It looks a good deal better “in the flesh” than it does in the photos. Some creases & a few spots of staining on the inner, but again no serious damage. VG all round; not mint by any stretch, but a reasonable playing copy of what has become a very collectable LP.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £3.70 (UK 1st class), £4.70 (UK recorded) £6.50 (Europe) £8.50 (rest of world-airmail). Insurance recommended for orders over £25; I am not responsible for parcels that go missing in the post! Check my other auctions; combine orders & save on shipping costs!
