ON OFFER HERE IS A CHANCE TO OWN AN EXTREMELY RARE COPY OF "MIDNIGHT MAN" RELEASED IN 1966 ON THE RED "UNBOXED" DECCA LABEL. THIS IS THE FIRST U K MONO PRESSING WITH 1A & 1A MATRIX NUMBERS AND A FIRST PRESS JAMES UPTON SLEEVE AND IS ON MEGA THICK VINYL. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE HOW RARE THIS RECORD IS. RARELY SEEN LIKE THIS
THIS IS A RECORD THAT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION AS THE LAMINATED SLEEVE TENDED TO GET EASILY CREASED AND TORN. THIS ONE HAS NOT. THIS IS A 1966 UK FIRST PRESS RELEASE ON THE RED UNBOXED DECCA LABEL CAT. LK 4780 AND IS A MONO RELEASE ARL 7175 1A & ARL 7176 1A FIRST PRESS MATRIX MARKS AND FIRST PRESS JAMES UPTON SLEEVE. LATER RELEASES DID NOT HAVE THESE FEATURES. THIS RECORD IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION. THERE IS NO LOSS OF SOUND QUALITY AT ALL
The record plays with NO background noise, There is NO hiss NO pops. There are NO skips NO jumps and NO repeats. The run-ins and the run-outs occasionally have a little crackle but this DOES NOT extend to the track itself. Any hairlines or scuffs DO NOT affect the awesome sound of this record. TRULY REMARKABLE FOR A RECORD FROM THE MID SIXTIES.
The sleeve itself has NO writing There are NO tears. There is just a small corner crease ( see photo ). The front of the laminateda sleeve is in excellent condition with only a bit of edgewear and cornerwear (see photo) and minimal spinewear. The rear has some ringwear and discolouration ( it is 40 years old) and a miniscule lifting of the paper. Nothing really, Once again there is NO writing There is an indentation mark but only seen in a certain light. SO WHAT!!

A GREAT COPY OF THIS MEGA RARE RECORD.

As for gradings:-

The record itself is easily an EXCELLENT+(if not better) and the sleeve is easily EXCELLENT--.

I PLAY ALL MY RECORDS FIRST TO GRADE THEM AND DO NOT RELY ON A VISUAL INSPECTION!!!

A RARE chance to own this CLASSIC!!!!

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have some slight wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major defects is acceptable

I DO NOT OFFER ANY ITEMS LESS THAN VERY GOOD
NEITHER DO I OFFER MINT ITEMS UNLESS THEY ARE SEALED.THE REASON FOR THIS IS I ALWAYS PLAY MY RECORDS TO CHECK FOR FLAWS

DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!!

THIS IS A RARE RECORD!!!!

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

GOOD LUCK

I HAVE JUST HAD THIS RECORD CLEANED ON A KEITH MONKS STATE OF THE ART SYSTEM AND I NOW GRADE THIS DISC AS BETWEENN EXCELLENT ++ AND MINT- I DO NOT THINK THAT IF YOU BOUGHT IT NEW TODAY YOU COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO.
