rare LP auction artist : D.C. and Company title : Dance the Night Away label : Shining Sunset Records info : mega rare private press 70s psych garage funk disco LP from Phoenix, AZ unknown and never before seen on ebay or anywhere else primitive lo-fi awesomeness with fuzz guitar, synth effects, wah-wah, clavinet and more. all original compositions. several sound clips included below! A 'psych funk garage disco' record. Beautifully cheesy lo-fi action, with elements of all these within. Half of the record is ballad material and the other half you can hear below. Vocal harmonies, sound effects, punchy bass and drums. Funny yet strangely enjoyable in it's own right. My personal favorites are the slow, psych-y and wah wah drenched "I just can't say goodbye" and "dreams of you". sound clips from actual record: hear "lets dance the night away" mp3 hear "I just can't say goodbye" mp3 hear "bump to the funk" mp3 hear "dreams of you" mp3 hear "party" mp3 CONDITION: Jacket: moderate edge and ring wear, 1 inch seam split on bottom. "TAZ" written on front and back. presentable, VG to VG+ range Record: clean and shiny except for a tiny bit of heat damage on the outer edge. this only affects the first track "lets dance the night away" for about 30 seconds, with a "whoosh" sound and then it is fine. it affects "this is my song" on the B side for slightly less time. this isn't too bad of a problem, and you can hear it in the sound clip above. Apart from this problem the record would rate in the VG++ to EX range. All of the best tracks, in my opinion, are not affected in any way. I usually ship things pretty fast as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Standards for the condition of vinyl records (from Record Collector): MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RETURNS: If unsatisfied, return the item to me for a full refund.
