Here is a still sealed copy of the very first album by The Doors on an audiophile 180 gram DCC (Dunhill Compact Classics) LPZ-2046 vinyl LP pressing. The serial number on this copy is 3341. This is the company that had Steve Hoffman cutting the remasters and is pressed on 180 gram virgin vinyl compound at RTI.

The jacket is like new near mint with no corner dings or cuts. There is a small blemish on the rear panel underneath the loose polybag that is from print manufacture, it feels like a raise in the finish but looks like a piece of jacket paper, white side up, stuck to the finish and is about the size of a standard wood lead pencil (to put some sort of perspective on it). This is minor but given the rarity of this copy may mean a lot to collectors. It came that way as new. The polybag still has the original DCC sticker on the front as pictured. I’ve never heard this pressing as I have the DCC CD but here is one observers comment:

“Take advantage of the opportunity to reacquaint yourself with The Doors from the beginning. For those of you with the Mobile Fidelity pressing of this one be prepared to hear Jim Morrison throw the blanket off his head, come out of the closet he seems to be sitting in about 20 feet behind your speakers and step right into your living room. The Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs pressing simply has NO midrange. We never missed it because we never knew it was there. Once again DCC shows us just how good a properly mastered LP can sound” 

Now THAT is a statement!!!! Contains the breakthrough hit Light My Fire plus Break On Through, Soul Kitchen, Back Door Man and the oedipal The End. Rare still sealed unplayed copy!!!
