So after the febrile success of the sales of panda white labels by The Maccabees and The Walkmen on that there eBay we have rummaged once again down the back of the gargantuan Fierce Panda office sofa and this week we have pulled out a test pressing copy of NING 149.  
Catalogue numbering thrill seekers will of course know this pertains to ‘The New Year’ by Death Cab For Cutie.
The worldwide interweb reminds us that this was the first single to be lifted from the sublime ‘Transatlanticism’ album – often tagged as the best ever on Fierce Panda - on February 16th 2004. What the worldwide interweb doesn’t tell us is that a mere thirteen years on we have just ONE of the ten original test pressings in our possession, and that ONE test pressing is resting in the official fierce panda eBay page and will be doing so until 8.00pm on Sunday 13 August.
