G R A D I N G - Both records glossy and labels clear. I know what you classical dudes are like, but I would never describe a 60 year-old record as Mint, or NM - I grade modestly and truthfully. These are just really nice condition and I can't imagine getting a better set in the future as they start to pass into the hands of collectors. Gummed number stickers on sleeves and some labels which should lift when dampened or steamed (rather you did that).
Record 1: 1/ EX very light static, occasional tick 2/ VG+ static, occasional tick
Record 2: 3/ VG+ light static with some ticks/pops occasionally 4/ EX light static
Sleeves: VG++ (number stickers, should lift if dampened; light creasing, date in small pen October 1952)
Finally, the 'music' (remember that?) is stunning in quality and sound reproduction, a masterful performance captured on the original format just a audio was entering a golden age of quality and reproduction, mainly led by Decca and its LXT series. You'll need a good system to really appreciate this hugely 'undervalued' these Mono recordings, just beautiful in both appearance and sound (yes, I wish I could keep them all).
