Record
Side 1 This is a very unusual one. On inital inspection the record looked an easy EX+, there are some very light marks and light inner sleeve removal marks and a small area of tiny feelable hairline marks (see photo), but generally a very attractive copy. When I put it in strong light I could notice a light area mottling that I have never really seen much before and the same on the corresponding side. I have tried to show this in the photographed. There isn't an immediate warp for example when viewing by eye, but when laid on a flat surface there is a slight dishing from the label to the edge (approx 1mm), this is quite consistent and is not unusual. However in the area that has the mottling there appears to be a small/short gradual warp, which i had been unable to notice by eye (see photographs). I decided to play the record throughout this side and this almost invisible area of mottling became apparent in so much that it created a sweeping sound when it went through this area, and the needles be cart very subtly moved going through this area.  This movement and sweeping sound lasted approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds, it was barely noticed audibly at times and was noticed in quieter parts which were few. After this early issue the record gave way to a very rich and bright audio with barely any issues at all, just some minor background surface noise noticed in places but genuinely a very pleasant listen to the end.

Side 2 Much of the same the beginning has approx 2 minutes with the same type of stylus cart  movement through the mottled area, with the same sweep sound again this was barely noticed at points and more pronounced during quieter sections but generally very subtle, there was one slightly distorted couple of rotation noticed, seems to occur as you leave the slightly warped area as a guess. There is a small hairline type mark within this area (series of small hairlines with gaps in a line) that are slightly feelable in places that create a small series of intermittent ticks, about 10 soft ticks noticed that at times are barely noticed, through this area.

Once it is clear of this area like side one the sound is superb with barely any audible issues. There was one instance of a series of about ten mid to soft ticks noticed from the last bit of the line of small hairline marks mentioned above, with a couple of unrelated in places.  There was some light background/surface noise in places, but a clean bright sounds to the end, incredibly clear at times.

It is a shame really as the record on initial inspection is a fantastic example. The saving grace is that once you have gone through the offending area in both cases the audio is absolutely incredible. One thing to note if you are not looking and scrutinising this record and were just listening to it casually you could quite possibly miss most of the audible issues as they are reasonably subtle for the most part by virtue of the orchestral parts masking it, and these noises are much better sounding than a feelable hairline for example. An audio grading is difficult but in both cases the first 3 minutes approx of each side are VG+, and EX+ after that in both cases. So in theory in total you have 6 minutes at VG+ and 38 minutes at EX/EX+.
Sorry for the ridiculous amount of details on this but i feel in necessary to go to these lengths given the scarcity of the record.
Not for the collecting purists of course but a good listening copy that has plenty of appeal.

Sleeve
Excellent
An Excellent sleeve nicely preserved. There is some very minor edge and corner wear and some very minor surface marks. There is some minimal toning, light ring wear and slight handling marks in places, some light laminate lifting in places. Generally a very nice clean bright example.
