  DECCA SXL 2087-90, MOZART, LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, KLEIBER extremely rare original wide-band UK release from 1959 Mozart – Le Nozze Di Figaro Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Erich Kleiber with soloists Cesare Siepi, Lisa Della Casa, Hilde Gueden, Fernando Corena, Suzanne Danco, Alfred Poell, Hilde Poessel-Majdan, Murray Dickie, Harald Proglhof, Hugo Mayer-Welfing and Anny Felbermayer.
This is the extremely rare UK wide band pressing of one of the rarest Decca SXL records, and in my opinion, in very acceptable condition. Each record has some marks and some play with a few light clicks and light pops here and there. Apart from the louder clicks at the beginning of Side 8 they don’t really spoil your enjoyment of the record and is still a great listen! See descriptions below. There is no groove wear, sticks, jumps or skips on any of the records and they all play without any distortion. I’m sure the winner of this auction will not be disappointed with their purchase.

The album is 4-record box set on Decca Records, SXL 2087-90. Matrix side one: ZAL-2728-5E (stamped). Matrix side two: ZAL-2729-4F (stamped). Matrix side three: ZAL-2730-4F (stamped). Matrix side four: ZAL-2731-3E (stamped). Matrix side five: ZAL-2732-3F (stamped). Matrix side six: ZAL-2733-2K (stamped). Matrix side seven: ZAL-2734-4F (stamped). Matrix side eight: ZAL-2735-4K (stamped).
Released in 1959. UK pressing. Stereo.
Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: Visual: very good (has a few visible marks) Audio: good (plays with a few light clicks and pops, but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the record)

Box (outer laminated lid): good (split at all four corners, two splits on bottom, some staining to back, number written inside lid and on back - see photos).
Comes with the original 4-page insert in excellent condition - see photo.
The record plays with no jumps, skips or sticks and minimal crackle.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
