DECCA SXL 2197—Ruggiero Ricci/Pierino Gamba/LSO—CARMEN FANTAISIE/HAVANAISE UK ED1
Extremely rare UK DECCA first edition STEREO LP SXL 2197 with earliest flipback sleeve. Sound quality is excellent but quality would definitely improve with a round of professional cleaning. Not mint, but it's as close as you can get to a near-perfect LP that is lightly used, well stored and well over 50 years old.
No deep marks or nicks on disc surface. No skips or loud pops. The only flaw, if you can call it that, is a tiny pimple on the surface, one on each side, which probably occurred during pressing. Very minor, but should be mentioned nonetheless. I have seen the same thing on some of my other old SXL ED1's, which I should be listing soon!
Sleeve is unmarked but aged. Very minor corner bumps. Upper left corner has a minor crease. Slight ageing/yellowing on the unlaminated rear sleeve. The original FFSS poly-lined inner bag is slightly crinkled.
