Sein lyrisches Empfinden im langsamen Satz und seine Virtuosität im Finale werden ebenso offenbar wie seine exzellente Begleitung unter Sir Adrian Boult. Viele Male ist man angerührt – der bedeutende Solist spielt durchwegs großartig.
