Items in this lot are:

  • On the other side / This heart is haunted -- Record label:  AMY -- Record#: 11,008

Special note to foreign bidders:   PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING!!  IN PURCHASING THIS ITEM, YOU ARE AGREEING THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON ON FOREIGN SHIPMENTS.  In order for me to ship out of the U.S., it is much more effort and expense.

  1. Because of this, I do not ship to foreign buyers if the value of the item is less than $20.
  2. For items $20-$50, I can ship First class International to buyers with perfect feedback.  This method is NOT insurable or trackable, but costs less.  Weight must be less than 4 pounds.
  3. For items $50-$100, I would ship via priority mail international with insurance for the value bid.  Some countries do not allow insurance.  Please e-mail for shipping costs before bidding as this method costs more, but is insurable (usually) and trackable.
  4. For items > $100, it will have to go some method that can be signed for.  Global Express, probably, it is expensive!

Examples of shipping as of 2/22/18(to the U.K.):
  1. 9 ounces - $23.50 (first class international) + cost of box
  2. 9 ounces - $35.25 (Priority Mail International) + cost of box
  3. 9 ounces - > $50 + (Global Express) + cost of box

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I declare foreign shipments as merchandise with the value you bid for them.
END NOTE TO FOREIGN BUYERS.

Feedback/bidding policy:   I check feedback daily and will return feedback promptly.

Return policy:  Although I go to great lengths to accurately describe my items, if you feel the merchandise is not as described, e-mail me BEFORE leaving feedback and we will resolve it.  Please note I do allow returns (see return policy below).

Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique discs, this one by Lee Jones & the Sounds of Soul.

Several unique things about this auction:  Firstly, this disc retains the original shine with some very light marks (one of which I can feel at the beginning of the "on the other side")   grading by sight in normal room light with a magnifying glass.   I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim this record is mint.  I took the time to play it and found some light pops and surface noise more so at the beginning on the "on the other side".  I noted some very light pops and surface noise more towards the beginning on the "this heart" side.  Both sides had some very light surface noise, some very light to light pops thereafter.  I'd audibly rate the two sides better than half way between VG and VG+.  You can assign you own grade based on my comments and the grading scale shown below.

Secondly, at the time of this listing, no present sales on e-bay.  One recent past sale for $125!  I found one copy for sale (overseas) for $113 including ship.

So this is your chance to own a unique item at a reasonable price. Bid early and often so you don't miss out on this auction!

It is further described below, please take the time to read before bidding.

Please e-mail if questions.

Be sure to check my other listings to save postage on multiple winning bids.  Please explore the "Me" link above(next to feedback rating) to check out my store and some of the 15,000+ records I have for sale as well as the LP to CD transfer service I offer.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).

Here is a summary of the record(s):

Artist: Lee Jones & the Sounds of Soul Title: On the other side / This heart is haunted   Record: Black vinyl which retains the original shine with some very light marks (one of which I can feel at the beginning of the "on the other side")   grading by sight in normal room light with a magnifying glass.   Labels: Blue with silver print.  No stickers, no pen/pencil marks, no spindle marks.  Slight general/ring wear.  A punch hole. Trailing wax: Side 1: "8476 Bell Sound LW".  Side 2: "8477 A Bell Sound LW". Comments:    I took the time to play it and found some light pops and surface noise more so at the beginning on the "on the other side". A unique addition to your 45 RPM collection.

Side 1: Comments: On the other side Some light pops and surface noise more so at the beginning which settles down to a very light surface noise (2.8). Side 2: Comments: This heart is haunted Some very light pops and surface noise more at the beginning which settled down to some very light to light pops (2.8).

Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

  • NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
  • 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
  • 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
  • VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
  • VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
  • G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship 7" discs in 12"x10"x3" boxes.  Weight with box is about 9 oz. Shipping is:  $2.66 Media Rate (0-1 pounds) + $1.00 box/tape/packing + $.34 handling  = $4.00.

Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $4.00.  This includes delivery confirmation which enables you to track shipping of your package online. Outside U.S., e-mail location to determine S/H costs prior to auction end. Insurance / other methods of shipping cost extra. Payment received within ten days of auction ending. Payment via Paypal preferred.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck with the bidding!
