Description
This is DEEP PURPLE And The Royal Philharmic Orchestra LP on Tetragrammaton Records T-131 Stereo first pressing. This is a rare record as it was released in December 1969 on Tetragrammaton and by early 1970 they were out of business. The subsequent management was fulfilled by Warner Brothers. This is a Monarch pressing. More info can be found on Discogs. This is Discogs release r4434603. As of this date,9.26.2024, there are only 2 other copies of this release on Ebay and they start at $99.
The COVER VG+ Has some shelf wear but not bad. The front has some rubbing as can be seen in the white area. The back has some ring wear at the top and bottom center. There is a 1.5" split in the center of the gatefold. No other splits. Good corners but with some rubbing. No writing, no bends or creases. No tape. Solid VG+.
The VINYL VG+ Play graded both sides. This vinyl gets a VG+ for sound quality and visuals. Under a bright light, there are sleeve scuffs but no scratches. Side 1 starts with some background noise during the orchestral intro then the group parts are VG+ and EX. Side 2 is about the same. Starts off a little rough then quickly gets better. Overall a VG+ because of the lack of pops or repetitive ticking.
The LABELS VG+ Side 1 has two short spindle trails and Side 2 has several shorter ones. I think they are visable in the photos. No writing.
