Welcome to my auction for this Deep Purple Album from my personal collection. Before you read about all the details of this listing let me say the Audio quality on this vinyl is stunning mint condition which is very rare to find in the same condition. Both surfaces of this limited play vinyl are truly stunning, So please scroll down for more information on this 1st Press vinyl brought new in 1974 and played just a few times since.

Deep Purple Burn album opens full throttle with Burn, the same track they open their concerts with. It begs to be played loud, and for that vinyl has the edge over other media, as you know I expect!

The record I have offered for sale here is an early copy of one of the best albums of released in 1974 and in stunning condition, it has been kept dry and sealed, so there is no dust within the grooves, awesome sound quality, from this vinyl. Its audio sound like a new copy. The vinyl surfaces have no imperfections visible when viewed under strong light, so no hairlines or sleeve removal lines to be found on both sides. The labels are clean, clear of stains, writing, and spindle hole is found without wear. A 1st press George Peckham (Porky) the legendary cutter of lacquer's of stunning sound quality, and was probably the best guy to cut a Master!

THE SLEEVE

The sleeve is clean free of writing anywhere, but has some slight storage creases, and I have tried to show these in the photos below. The corners are still very square and with little wear. Would graded this cover EX.

THE INNER SLEEVE

Free of writing, tears and stains. Has a few faint handling and storage creases.

AUDIO TEST GRADING SIDE ONE

The faintest of static ticks but hardly noticeable on the first revolution of the run in then silence as the first track "Burn" kicks off, loud and with awesome clarity. "Might Just Take Your Life" quality drumming, and Hammond Organ playing on this track, and the audio has the clarity of the first. "Lay Down Stay Down"  Powerful and clear all the way through. "Sail Away" an excellent track that plays clearly throughout to the deadwax which is silent. Side One grading must be strictly graded as EX+++ 

AUDIO TEST GRADING SIDE TWO

The run in to "You Fool No One" has two static ticks and then plays perfectly with excellent clarity, this is a complex track; pure brilliance from Deep Purple, and  George Peckham cut is brilliant! "What's Goin' On Here" Clear and free of any ticks, it has great sound separation. "Mistreated" plays brilliantly, throughout there is no background noise to this album, as it has only been played rarely and only on quality turntables; and my tonearm's have always been fitted with a diamond stylus. The final track "A" 200 on the inner track of the vinyl, this is where distortion is most likely to be heard on this media. However "A"200 plays clearly throughout, and is great track complete the audio test, where the tone arm tracks perfectly on the flat vinyl into the silent runout groove. Again EX+++

 POSTAGE AND PACKING

Postage within the UK for this record is £3.65 for recorded delivery. My standard record mailer packaging is not charged for. Your record will be packed to a high a standard. I only use brand new high quality record mailers. All records are removed from Cover sleeve before packing. The record and its sleeve are sealed in a plastic outer to prevent any possible moisture touching this record during postage. I use stiffeners to protect the record. I can combine postage for more than one record, costs varies for weight, so please message me. I can also for extra cost pack your record into mailing box for added protection. Records can be insured before mailing at extra cost. All records sent Overseas will be packed as above, however mailing boxes are better for long-haul shipments. I will use Royal Mail, either Airmail or Airsure please message me for postage costs for these shipping costs. Below is how I will send your record in its package. 

PAYMENT

Payment through Paypal and this must be within 3 days of winning the Item, however if this not possible please contact me to make an alternative arrangements for payment or to change the payment date. Please note if no payment or any contact has not been made with me within the 3 days, I have reserved right to offer the item to the preceding bidder, the second chance option.

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
