Yes indeed, here is yet another one of those highly sought after collectors' items that most of us crave for but few of us actually have it. I know as it took me a long time before I got this one, luckily I had another copy to listen to so there was no need to open this one up. If you are a "Deep Purple" fan, and how can you not be, you know that your purchase needs to be on the "Tetragrammaton" label (which is proof of the original release) or it ain't really collectible. Additionally, if we want the cream of that Tetragrammaton crop, it must be the "Concerto for Group and Orchestra" or the "Holy Grail" of the Deep Purple catalogue" which books at $200 - $225 and is well worth the price. Of course one last thing that we look at for a procurement such as this is what is the condition because you know we all want it to be Near Mint and lo and behold, in this particular case we have one that is "STILL SEALED". Now you have Deep Purples' most collectible record, on Tetragrammaton" and "STILL SEALED", which is a situation of having all of the planets lined up just right in order to make this purchase.

Synopsis: The "Concerto for Group and Orchestra" is a concerto composed by Jon Lord, with lyrics written by Ian Gillan. It was first performed by Deep Purple and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Arnold on 24 September 1969 and released on vinyl in December 1969. The release was the first Deep Purple album to feature Ian Gillan on vocals and Roger Glover on bass. After the score was lost in 197

SHIPPING

Please take note that in the Seller's shipping input section in eBay's has a ceiling for shipping records at $4.00. Any amount over that the eBay software will reject and not allow the seller to continue. What that system does not take into account are situations where a seller may be selling a lot of ten records OR is selling a box set that contains six records, which results in a shipping scenario where costs will surely be more than $4.00. In those cases, most sellers enter the $4.00 in the eBay input, but reflect the real actual accurate costs in the body of the text, for me in this is contained in the "SHIPPING" section.

GRADING GUIDLINES

I use a standard grading system that "Goldmine" has published for years. Unless otherwise stated, our products are VISUALLY graded with the aid of a bright 150W light bulb. I grade VERY conservatively, in order to ensure that buyers are happy. All flaws worth noting to potential buyers (scratches, MINOR warps, cut out holes, saw marks, split cover seams, writing, etc.) will be listed in the item descriptions in an attempt to avoid any, and all, surprises.

· M (Mint): unopened record or compact disc.

· NM (Near Mint); Vinyl that appears to have never been played. There are simply NO visible blemishes on the vinyl/disc or jacket/case

· VG++: Occasionally I will use this one if the item is NM, but I don’t feel comfortable grading it that way as there might be a small blemish on it.

· VG+ (or EX); Except for a few minor things, this would be Near Mint. This will show slight light signs of wear including light signs of scuff or scratches that DO NOT affects the listening experience. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than ONE inch long)

· VG: More marks/scratches only minor, nothing deep, no loud clicks or pops. This type of material will not be sold by this seller. Groove wear and light scratches are evident. Surface noise is heard but it is not overwhelming. Minor writing, tape or stickers are visible.
