This is the UK 2nd Press of 'Deep Purple' by Deep Purple. This press has the rare early matrix, the very first 1G/1G mothers and early stampers. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve and earliest EJ Day laminated gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is absolutely sensational, every track gleams like new. There are just a couple of the very lightest hairlines. The labels are also sensational. The green is completely unworn, the colour is crisp and bright and there is no spindle wear. When played there is exceptional audio seperation - it is clear, rich and vibrant. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
The gatefold laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The front cover opening edge is sealed, consistent only with the earliest presses. The laminate has a superb polished gloss and it is completely clean. The white is bright, the pink is vivid and the greys are bold. On the inside the photo is still extremely sharp and unworn and the text is clear. There is a small name on the top edge. The whole cover is still extremely solid.
