1st UK PRESSING  CAT NO. SHVL 777  1970 ORIGINAL PRESS (NO) EMI VINYL AND COVER AWESOME CONDITION! !!!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AUDIO THROUGHOUT NEAR MINT.

The audio was faultless on my system.  Graded as near mint! (no) clicks ,pops,crackle at all, crystal clear and very vibrant!  Earliest for the best audio!! 

Deep Purple in Rock is a hard rock album by English rock band Deep Purple, released in 1970. It was their fourth studio album, and the first with the classic Mk II lineup (though "Concert for Group and Orchestra", a live album released in December 1969, did feature this lineup). It would peak at #4 in the UK, remaining in the charts for many months.!!!!!!!

The Vinyl

Please note! This is the original HEAVY THICKER AND DEEPER GROOVED TYPE OF VINYL (later press were much more flimsier and less robust)!!!

On initial visual inspection the playing surface looks awesome. Any marks that could possibly be seen under a strong would be caused by the vinyl been slid in and out of its sleeve! 

The Audio Quality

I have played this through track for track a few times at very loud volume on a top system,  the audio is awesome! cristal clear and vibrant through out, with (no) distortion or any signs of grooveware at all!!!! certainly (no) clicks pops or jumps!!As good as it gets in my opinion!!

THIS AUDIO IS RATED AT THE VERY TOP! GRADED AS NEAR MINT!! UNBELEIVABLE FOR A VINYL THAT IS 40+ YEARS OLD!!!!! IN MY OPINION THESE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSINGS PRODUCE THE BEST AUDIO QUALITY CAN NOT BE SURPASSED BY LATER PRESSINGS!!!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have described the audio quality giving my honest opinion and would class myself as highly critical!  Please allow for the odd static here and there not consistant throughout the audio! Remember that this is a genuine original 1st press vinyl that is 40+ years old and would have been played on a 40 years old system!!! Audio is graded as near mint in my opinion!

The Labels

These are superbe! Feature the ''GRAMOPHONE CO....'' around the label rim (only early press) ''EMI'' IS EMITED (only 1st press) spidering  can be seen only angled in strong light In my opinion this has definately not  been over played. For a vinyl that is 40 years old ! UNBELEIVABLE!!!!

Please note! i am highly critical about the audio quality on my records as it is my prime interest above rarety! This plays awesome you will not be disapointed, also this being the 1st and very early is highly collectable and sought after!!!

The Cover

This is the original ''GARROD & LOFTHOUSE'' Printed laminated gatefold cover in absolutely superbe condition!!Super glossy apperarence!!(NO) SPLITS OR TEARS OR NAMES WRITTEN ON! VERY VERY GLOSSY AND VERY VERY RICH IN COLOUR (VERY RARELY EVER SEEN IN THIS CONDITION) (no) splits or tears really superbe spine (see photos) hardly any\minimal\minor  creasing lines near spine end only but you have to look for it, to notice! 

TRY TO FIND A BETTER 1ST PRESS COVER AFTER 40 YEARS!!!!!

The Record Inner Sleeve

This is the EMI advertising sleeve  E.M.I. Records,,''Made and printed in Great Britain'' (see photos) (no) splits or tears, just very light creasing.

THIS ALBUM WILL BE SENT IN A PROFESSIONAL MAILER WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE ALBUM IS ALWAYS REMOVED FROM THE OUTER SLEEVE.
