DEEP PURPLE. MADE IN JAPAN. DOUBLE LP. 1ST PRESSING. GRAMOPHONE TEXT ON LABEL. TPS 3511 A-1U "PORKY/TPS 3511 1-BU "DELTA PORK"/ TPS 3512 A-1U "PECKO"/TPS 3512 1-BU "PECKIE" MATRICES. HIGH GLOSS LAMINATED COVER.  EXCELLENT+

My listening equipment is a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz turntable, pre/power amplification and Castle speakers.

Played on my system, this LP grades Excellent+ with just some very minor backgound noise between tracks and to occasional quiet parts. Side 4 has a very tiny mark which produces about 8 soft ticks which are not intrusive and I still grade this side Excellent+. The vinyl has some hairlies and the odd very light mark but these are of no audio consequence. The gatefold cover has a high gloss laminate finish (only 1st pressings have this finish - later pressings have a darker, duller laminate finish). The cover is in very good condition with just a little rubbing to the bottom edge and corners and some minor creasing to the laminate. In my experience, these first press covers are very prone to age wear - often they suffer fading beneath the laminate for some strange reason. While this cover has its flaws, compared with most first press covers for this album, it's in exceptionally good condition.

This is one of the finest live recordings of a rock band ever produced and it sounds best of all on a first pressing.
