Rare DCC audiophile vinyl 2-LP 180 gram Limited Edition -- Deep Purple - Made in Japan -- LPZ(2)-2052 -- 1973 Warner Bros Records USA / 1998 DCC (Dunhill Compact Classics) USA. One of the truly classic and famous live albums from the early 1970s, this is the superbly remastered limited edition from DCC done by Steve Hoffman, one of the best mastering engineers in the world. This came from a limited edition run of 5000 copies. This one is # 0596 (please see photo). Vinyl on both LPs is near mint …not likely played more than a couple of times. Gatefold sleeve/jacket is VG++ (equivalent to excellent on some grading scales) ...retains its original glossy finish ...a tiny bit of a fade at the very top front (see front cover photo) ...two 2 1/2 inch paper seam splits, one on each of the center lower portion of each gatefold side -- these are both paper splits, and are not complete -- they do not allow the LPs to penetrate through. This happened to DCC titles a lot, and was typical for many sealed 180 gram weight LPs during transit. I will be shipping both LPs outside of the gatefold jacket to avoid any further splitting. LPs enclosed in original plastic protective inner sleeves, all enclosed in fold-over poly outer sleeve. I am an audiophile and have extensive experience grading, so bid with confidence.
