Record

The record is in beautiful condition with just a few hairlines only present, and these are only visible in bright light. No scuffs or scratches of course. This would be extremely hard to find better. I have graded the vinyl excellent plus.

Labels

The yellow and black parlophone labels are completely fault free. I could just make out one small spindle line on each label close to the spindle hole. The spindle hole itself shows no wear at all. There is a FACTORY SAMPLE – NOT FOR SALE sticker on the side one label, see scans. The labels are graded mint minus.

Cover

The front cover is laminated and shows a few small laminate wrinkles and lifts. There are no front cover creases. Under bright light a record impression ring is visible but it is a ring mark as opposed to actual wear as the cover surface is completely unworn. The rear sleeve is really nice and clean, completely mark free with no record impression at all. The three flipbacks are virtually unworn and mark free. The sleeve edges and the spine are perfect, completely straight with no rubbing. All of the spine text is clear.The four corners are square with just a small touch of rubbing. The cover is graded Excellent.

Inner Sleeve

The record comes with its correct original “advert” inner sleeve which is in excellent plus condition, having no tears or seam splits.

Sound Quality

The sound quality is just amazing. I have play graded the whole album and there is no distortion or sound break up, no hiss or crackle and I think I heard two to three static clicks in the entire album! The powerful mono recording in my view outdoes the stereo version with a much fuller, overall sound.

Overall

This is a great copy of this rare mono recording, easily the best I have seen or heard. Only a mint grade copy would be better!

The grading system I use is from Record Collector:- Mint, Excellent, Very Good with +/- to distinguish borderline grades.

All records are carefully visually inspected under bright light and play graded before auction to avoid any disappointment to buyers, so bid with confidence.

A full no quibble refund for the cost of the record will be offered if you are not satisfied for ANY reason.

I treat all vinyl with the greatest respect whether £5 or £50, so all records are sent out with plastic covers in professional mailers and two protective cardboard stiffeners. I always separate records from their covers and original inner sleeves to prevent seam splits occurring during shipping.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to take out any insurance cover required. I would advise insurance to be taken out on any item sale greater than £30.00 as protection against loss or damage during shipping. Without this additional insurance the full value of items above £30.00 that are lost or damaged will NOT be able to be recovered.

Following the close of the auction I will send an invoice within twenty four hours. All winning bidders must make contact within three days of the end of the auction or I reserve the right to withdraw the item or select the second chance option and offer the item to another bidder.
