•DEEP PURPLE-MADE IN JAPAN ORIGINAL 1972 UK STEREO 1ST!•
The classic Made In Japan release, catalogue Number TPSP 351.Original 1972 UK stereo 1st pressing. The record labels have “THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD…” text around the top. The matrix numbers are the earliest A-1U, B-1U, A-1U & B-1U. “PORKY, DELTA PORK, PECKO & PECKIE” is etched in the run-outs of sides 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively, indicating the work of the master cutting engineer George “Porky” Peckham who went on to set up Porky's mastering in Shaftesbury Avenue.
Comes with the 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. laminated gatefold sleeve. The sleeve is in EX condition with only the very lightest ring wear and creasing, see photos.
The labels are in excellent condition, only the very lightest mark from a spindle is discernible. The vinyl are a conservative EX condition, probably more like NM. Only the hint of a mark and background noise during play. This record has had little play as the pictures testify.
Overall a beautiful copy of this classic LP, probably not often bettered. 476 (GS 6.4.4 (476))
