This auction is for a very rare 12 Inch Vinyl Record Single

by Dennis Harris

Title - Perfidia

There are 4 Tracks on this 12" Reggae Disco single.

Side A : A1 Perfidia and A2 Perfidia Instrumental

Side B1 You Cannot Hide What's Inside

and B2 - Blue Moon.

 

The label is Lover's Rock

The catalog number is L-R DIS 08

Year 1978

 

This is a really hard to find record now in great condition.

I have played both sides and it sounds superb.

An Excellent grade for sure.

 

The Vinyl is clean and has no scratches.

The B side has one very light surface mark which has no depth at all. 

 

Any light hairlines visible under stronger light are consistent with a 40 year old record.

 

The record sleeve is a pink cardboard sleeve, with the words Reggae Disco 45 in white.

The sleeve is not the best on the planet. It has some corner wear and edge wear and the spine is worn.I can only grade the sleeve as maybe a Good Minus. 

I will supply an extra sleeve in plain black cardboard with the pink sleeve for you. 

 

I am not an expert with Reggae, or any of its associated Genres, but I understand that Dennis Harris is revered for introducing the description of Lover's Rock to Reggae music.

 

He worked with Eve Records, to enable their recordings from Jamaica to be released here on his Lover's Rock label, and the Lover's Rock sub - Genre of Reggae was launched.
