A TOTAL OF 22 VINYL LP’s IN 5 SECTIONS, EACH SECTION CONTAINS 3 TO 5 LONG PLAYING RECORDS AND EXPLANETARY BOOKLET OF AROUND 40 PAGES FOR EACH PART OF THE OPERA. THESE CONTAIN PICTURES, DRAWINGS AND THE WORDS IN ENGLISH AND GERMAN, ALLONG WITH A SYNOPSIS OF THE OPERA.
EACH LP HAS THE NORMAL PAPER INNER AND GLOSSY PRINTED OUTER CARDBOARD SLEEVE ON AN UNMARKED CONDITION.
EACH LP IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, (TO MY KNOWLEDGE UNPLAYED) WITH NO SCRATCHES, DUST OR MARKS.

This recording of Das Rheingold was the first stereo recording by Decca. The 22 LP boxed set of the complete Wagner four part opera, Der Ring des Nibelungen, also known as The Ring Cycle featuring the four operas, Das Rheingold,Die Walkure, Siegfried and Gotterdammerung. There is also a unique three record introduction to 'The Ring' narrated by Deryck Cooke, featuring excerpts from the four operas.
Each opera is in its own separate wood & leathercloth section made to resemble a set of antique books. The performance is the classic version by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti.
The Leathercloth spines do show some moderate wear and the base of the box has light scuffing from being moved on the shelf, the booklets are complete, clean & undamaged & all vinyl is immaculate and will play with the exceptional audio clarity that only these specialist pressings on heavyweight vinyl can give.
