DEREK AND THE DOMINOES - 'LAYLA' 

     EXTREMELY RARE!!! Original sought after issue of the UK 1969 Red Polydor  Label  Cat. No: 2625 005 of the UK Stereo Double Vinyl LP in a Matt Gatefold Picture Sleeve Cover by (MacNeill Press Ltd London) with the Original  White Polylined Sleeves -  The Cover Sleeve shows very few signs of being 39 years old  and Vinyl is Near Mint a Superb Immaculate copy With  the  A1/B2 Matrix Nos. with the Early 1st Pressing Matrix:  A//1 B//2 A//1 B//3 Stamped into the Vinyl

The Vinyl:  

The Vinyl:Visualy looks in Near Mint condition -Vinyl looks virtually flawless - On close examination it visually shows NO scratches or marks across any of the vinyl surfaces - Close inspection of all 4 sides of the spindle areas shows only very light spindle wear and the labels are all still in pristine unmarked clean condition - Vinyl still has all it's Original lustre and Jet black glossy sheen  

On the recent Playback assessment the Record still Plays Dynamic with it's amazing original sound clarity and sheer quality of sound along with the fantastic stereo production that fills the room  Just as you would expect from an early 1st pressing

 The Front/Back of Covers/Spine: Are Excellent in condition totally intact crisp and clean with good straight edges with only the opening side edge is a little uneven - Showing all it's Original Vibrant Clear Sharp Colours - All writing down the spine is visible with a little negligible spine wear - Absolutely NO tears,splits,ink marks or stickers apart from some very minimal laminated surface creases and edge wear also with some  slight  corner bump ware and some small rubbing marks on the bottom front of cover  which has occurred during the storage process over it's lifetime - Overall an Excellent plus copy This is mainly due to the plastic cover protection on Album since Day One - It would be probably hard to find one better!!!    

Labels: On examination there is only light spindle trails and both labels are in near Mint looking clean condition  

Inner Sleeve:The original Polylined EMI/HARVEST black/white inner sleeve is totally intact and is generally in excellent condition but shows some negligible age wear with a few minimal creases here and there and some yellow ageing tinges - NO tears,splits,stickers or ink pen marks

      All of my records That I'm selling are from my own personel collection that I have collected for over 40 years and which have been generally kept and looked after to the highest standard.

I'm currently starting to sort through some of my other Rare vinyl records that have been played only a few times - which are mainly UK 1st  PRESSINGS - which are all in Excellent to Mint Condition - Mainly due to Covers/Vinyl have been kept in plastic covers for all of there Life Span this is one of them

Record Collector's Grading System:

MINT: The Record is in Brand New Condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The Cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet,booklet or poster are in Perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be MINT.  

EXCELLENT: The Record shows some signs of having been played,but there is very little lessing in sound quality. The Cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or Creasing.

VERY GOOD: The Record has obviously been played many times,but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the Cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.

Albums will be Protected in Plastic Covers - Bubble Wrapped - Packed Securely in High Quality Cardboard Record Box Mailers - With Fragile/Handle With Care Labels Stuck on to Help Prevent Any Damage - Never Had Any Buyer Complain of Damage to any of my Records on Arrival so far!!!
