Description

Derek and the Dominos ~ Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs Polydor Super 2625 005 December, 1970
An Eric Clapton-led masterpiece by 'Derek and the Dominos', featuring the all-time classic title track as well as "Bell Bottom Blues". Despite the eventual radio success of "Layla", the album sold poorly on initial release (it didn't even chart in Great Britain!), making the first UK pressing of this double-LP nearly impossible to find! A must-have for every serious Clapton collector!
This is the absolute 1st UK pressing of the album:

  • Separate catalogue numbers for each record in the set - RECORD 1: 2335 - 009, RECORD 2: 2335 - 010
  • "MacNeill Press Ltd." matte (unlaminated) gatefold cover
  • "Polydor SUPER" logo on rear cover near spine
  • Polydor labels (all RSO versions are re-presses)
  • Labels state "Made in England" above the side number on the left
  • Labels state "(Set No. 2625-005)" above the "(P) 1970" print on the lower right
  • Matrix numbers are stamped (not etched)
  • White poly-lined Polydor inner sleeves with "Made in England" stamp
Original 1st pressing MATRIX IDENTIFIERS: Side 1: 2335009 A//1 ? 420 11 4 Side 2: 2335009 B//2 ? 420 11 5 Side 3: 2335010 A//1 ? 420 11 3 Side 4: 2335010 B//2 ? 420 11 2
