DESASTER from Koblenz rumble along at the highest level on their sixth album ''666 - Satan's Soldiers Syndicate'', leaving no stone unturned. Raw, unpolished and completely trend-free, the title track ''Satan's Soldiers Syndicate'' kicks off with razor-sharp, infernal riffs, forcing long-haired, bald and headless people alike to headbang non-stop. And it's not just blunt drumming, Tormentor on drums often changes his rhythm in the right places. Of course, there is also a bit of beating around here, which is just as much fun as the brute mid-tempo parts. In any case, it's all too often a source of joy when, as in ''Angel Extermination'', the thrashing starts at full throttle, then the tempo is almost completely throttled back and an insane solo kicks in from one moment to the next. Simply marvelous. ''Razor Ritual'' is just as great, the Doom part in the middle only makes what follows seem even more brutal. Sataniac screams, pukes and rages aggressively through the Black/Thrash songs on offer. And how could you resist a call like ''Bang your fucking head for the master in hell, break your fucking neck!'' in combination with these infernal sounds? DESASTER have also invited prominent guests into the studio: MELECHESH axeman Ashmedi plays on ''Angel Extermination'' and the song ''Tyrannizer'' is given to two guest singers: Proscriptor from ABSU and PRIMORDIAL frontman A.A. Nemtheanga. Even though the album barely exceeds 37 minutes - ''666 - Satans Soldiers Syndicate'' is a lot of fun from start to finish. A wonderfully snotty record that sounds like original filth from hell and rocks without compromise. Fans of the Old School and fans of BATHORY, VENOM, DARKTHRONE, HELLHAMMER, DESTRUCTION, SODOM and DESTROYER 666 will be in for a real treat. DESASTER’s malicious strike from 2007 finally back on limited black Vinyl after 17 years. This time as a nice Gatefold LP version with inside flood print. Comes with an exclusive Vinyl bonus track!
