If you are a NWOBHM fan, Desolation Angels is a must; like Saxon, Judas Priest, Satan, Elixir, or Jaguar. If you haven’t listened to this band yet, and you are a fan of the bands just mentioned you are in for a real treat with the Desolation Angels. For starters we have a classic NWOBHM production; mostly sharp sound and well balanced instruments. Of course, Desolation Angels only use high-quality ingredients for their dishes: a typically loud bass that works so well in the genre; slow but steady drums with a powerful, thick sound; Maiden-like melodic solos and a crunchy guitar tone. Everything dressed with a melodic high-pitched voice that will make the listening experience complete.
Valhalla is killer with its mid-paced rhythms and a catchy chorus , heavy bass marking the rhythm together with the drum beats, and simple-yet-effective layered riffs. The flip side “Beaudicea” has a infectious catchy all-time-rocker main riff and massive solo. The band relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1987-88. They eventually returned to England in the early '90s before splitting up in May, 1994. Reformed in 2012. this is not the skol reissue but a new original from 1984
