RECOGNIZE NO AUTHORITY
Here we have an Original,1st Press Dutch Import Vinyl Album (Matrix Numbers.. Side One, RR 9695-A HC.B.. Side Two, RR 9695-B HC.B), by American Thrash Metal Band DETENTE, Titled, RECOGNIZE NO AUTHORITY. this Album was Released in 1986 on the Dutch Roadrunner Records Label (RR 9695), and comes in it's Original Picture Sleeve, with Picture Inner and Lyrics.
Although Pre-Owned, this Album Remains in Great All Round Condition. Picture Sleeve is Very Good Plus, there's No Rips, Tares or Splits, it Does Show Some Light Shelf / Storage Wear Along The Edges, And Some Light Compression Creases, There is a Small Signature Written Just Below the Bands Name on the Front, and there's One Small Surface Scuff on the Reverse Side where a Sticker Was Previously Removed. but, all in all, it's Still Solid and Very Tidy. The Picture Inner is Excellent, Showing Only Light Age Related Off Colouring and Light Creasing From Handling. the Record Itself is in Excellent Plus Condition. Both Labels are Clean and Bright, with a Rough Cut Centre (Manufacturing Flaw), but Very Little, If Any, Actual Spindle Wear, Both Playing Surfaces are Clean and Glossy, with Hardly Any Signs Of Previous Use.

Formed in Los Angeles, Détente was a Thrash Metal Band whose Song 'Widow's Walk' appeared on Metal Blade Records' Metal Massacre VII Compilation in 1986. In The Same Year They Released Their Debut Album, Recognize No Authority, on That Label. Looking Like an Anarcho-Punk Album But Sounding Like a Potent Mix of Speed / Thrash Metal, This Record Manages To Constantly Surprise at Every Turn. The Album's Most Unique Aspect is Having a Female Lead Vocalist, the Late, Great Metal Mistress Herself Dawn Crosby. Her Performance Here is Unrelentingly Fierce, Yet Genuine and her Energy Drives Many Of The Songs. She Tends to Stay in a Higher Register Whilst Shouting and Eschews Any Kind Of Singing At All, But This is Compensated For By The Sheer Anger She is Able To Convey Which Fits Well With The Morbid And Pessimistic Lyrics.
This Original 1st Press Copy is Quite a Rare One. i Couldn't Find Another Original Copy Anywhere, just Brand New Re-Releases, and CD Versions when i researched it. so, If You're a Fan of the Band, or a Thrash Metal Collector in General, Here's a Chance To Pick Up a Real Gem For Your Collection.
