First off,I am not a record grader in the sense that the widely accepted view of letter grading vinyl to me has much room for gaps in assessment.I always try to give as much info as I can,so the perspective buyer can make a comfortable judgment Grading records or anything for that matter is subjective ,and opinions can and do vary.

I tend to be on the very conservative side about grading (sometimes to the point of "over grading") as I feel its the prudent & diligent thing,as you are not here making the visual call on the record.I have included an MP3 sample so you can make a judgment on the records playing quality.PLEASE use this mp3 to make your assessment of the sound.That's why I have it embedded.If you have questions on the sound,or anything else pertaining to the record,email me and I will go over it more,but please don't ignore the tool I have placed to help make the decision,that's what its there for.We all know records can look one way and play another.Please note,I will only vouch for my turntables performance,for as we all know,turntable performance varies from one to another.
Dexter Calling -Blue Note stereo -ST-84083 lp.Run off markings -BN ST 84083 .The Van Gelder info looks stamped not etched .It states RVG Stereo.The labels number are a bit different -BST 84083 .This is the dark blue/black label.I am not sure which pressing it is,so please use all the info provided to figure out which one.The bottom of the jacket has the old pre zip code NY address which I have highlighted in the picture.
As to its condition.The vinyl is in very nice shape in my view.I see only light superficial hairline variety scratches dotted in spots.Most of these will only be revealed in bright light.I have mp3 embedded the whole album for you to judge its playing quality.For me,it played nice and pretty quiet .The cover is in shrink.Mostly tight around except for the back bottom,where there is a flap in the shrink & the front right bottom where a hunk is missing.The $ 4.77 store sticker is on the back.I see slight ring wear though the shrink in spots.The corners looks good.Slight rounding on the bottom front right with a drop of paper scuff separation. Plain white inner sleeve.Any questions,please ask BEFORE bidding.Thanks
