DEXTER GORDON “Go” Blue Note 4112 RVG, LAM, Mono Vinyl
This is the “Van Gelder” stamped pressing of DEXTER GORDON’s “Go” on the "New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4112. Musicians include Dexter Gordon – tenor saxophone, Sonny Clark – piano, Butch Warren – bass, Billy Higgins – drums.
VINYL plays extremely well with the occasional pop or tick. Very clean. 75% Quiet vinyl. Plays beautifully. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong with clean transients, and full tone. No distortion. Excellent gloss. A couple of hairline marks, neither feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. Some wear. Corners worn. Lower left corner very wrinkled. Water damage. Seams and spine mostly clean, lower seam at opening 1” split. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” Back jacket shows wear, lower corner damage of cardboard stock. Tape. This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
