LIVE RECORDING OF ANNE-SOPHIE MUTTER (THAT'S APPLAUSE IN THE OPENING NOT STATIC!!) PERFORMING TSCHAIKOVSKY'S VIOLIN CONCERTO WITH HERBERT VON KARAJAN AND THE VIENNA PHILHARMONIC. RECORDED 15 AUG 1988 AT THE SALZBURG FESTIVAL.

Stereo VG+++ !! LP LIGHT (static like) CRACKLES IN OPENING of both sides, in sunlight there are no scratches, corresponding to those areas.but there is a slight 'greying' to the shine of the black vinyl in the area, similar to 'PATINA'stains you see on very old records, except this is a 1988 pressing for goodness sake!!, so listen to the second half of sound sample (side 2) before bidding as that is where the loudest static, and the quietest music is    AFTER GETTING PAST THE OPENING FEW MINUTES, THE REMAINDER OF THE RECORD PARTICULARLY SIDE 2 HAS A FEW ODD TICS AND PIPS, THAT DO CORRELATE WITH SOME VERY FINE PAPER SCUFFS ONLY VISIBLE IN SUNLIGHT BUT NOTHING THAT DISTRACTS FROM THE OVERALL LISTENING PLEASURE

Full replay TEST,   After opening FEW MINUTES each side only a FEW unrepetetive tics and pops, VERY ENJOYABLE Listening!!!  TO hear the very few light opening crackles and tics, here is a guide to the length of the sound sample of BOTH sides first few minutes

Side 2 commences at 3  minutes 55  seconds and plays the rest of the sample

Similar static like crackle in opening run in before the louder music starts.

THIS IS THE SECTION TO LISTEN TO TO ASSESS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS ALBUM. as the opening few minutes is musically very quiet, but the previously mentioned patina like greying of vinyl is in this section causing the static like repetitive rustle for that section of the recording. The patina marks were only visible in sunlight and were not visible when I tried a close up photo.

BE aware the sound sample talked about above accentuates treble (Hence more static crackle that you DON'T hear through your Hi Fi) and is low quality, but you get the idea. AS THIS RECORD IS ORCHESTRALLY VERY QUIET ON BOTH SIDES OPENING, the temptation on your computer will be to turn up the volume , and there will be some static crackle due to that in particular, so please only play on your computer at a NORMAL setting for classical music listening to get the correct 'vinyl effect' , although there is just a hint of static crackle there,

There are very few visible scuffs, but only REALLY VISIBLE IN SUNLIGHT.  I suspect the record has been played RARELY, as there are only a couple of rotational spindle trails on the label. and the cover looks so well looked after with no behds or edge wear. 

Generally the REST of the record has no worse detectable listening interference from background static sounds etc, REASONABLY quiet vinyl, and as I said, this would be a good edition to have if you wanted a playable record but don't want to part with as many dollars as a perfect one would cost. The little bit of light crackle that is there, is in the QUIETEST passages. So if you have a professional washer you might like to spend a bit more time on cleaning it than the 'ONCE OVER' wet wash  I gave it to put it up for 5GBP auction start
